These Terms and Conditions apply to all members, visitors, and users of Portsmouth Muay Thai facilities, services, and website. By attending classes, purchasing memberships, or using our services, you agree to the following terms.

Membership and Participation

By joining Portsmouth Muay Thai, you confirm that:

  • You are physically fit and able to participate in Muay Thai training and related physical activities.

  • You will inform coaches of any injuries, medical conditions, or health concerns that may affect your ability to train safely.

  • You participate in training at your own risk.

Portsmouth Muay Thai reserves the right to refuse membership or participation where necessary for safety or operational reasons.

 

Health and Safety

Muay Thai is a contact sport and involves physical exertion and controlled contact. While all reasonable precautions are taken:

  • Portsmouth Muay Thai cannot guarantee prevention of injury.

  • Members agree to follow all safety instructions given by coaches.

  • Appropriate protective equipment must be worn where required.

Members must train responsibly and respectfully at all times.

 

Payments and Membership Fees

  • Membership fees must be paid in advance unless otherwise agreed.

  • Payments may be made via direct debit, online payment, or other approved methods.

  • Membership fees are non-refundable except in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of Portsmouth Muay Thai.

Failure to make payment may result in suspension or termination of membership.

 

Cancellations and Termination

Members may cancel their membership by providing written notice in accordance with their membership agreement.

Portsmouth Muay Thai reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership without refund if a member:

  • Violates gym rules

  • Acts in a dangerous or inappropriate manner

  • Displays abusive or disrespectful behaviour toward staff or other members

 

Personal Belongings

Members are responsible for their own personal belongings.

Portsmouth Muay Thai accepts no responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to personal items brought onto the premises.

 

Code of Conduct

All members agree to:

  • Treat coaches, staff, and other members with respect

  • Follow instructions from coaches at all times

  • Maintain appropriate behaviour within the gym

  • Help maintain a safe and positive training environment

Portsmouth Muay Thai operates a zero-tolerance policy toward bullying, harassment, or abusive behaviour.

 

Photography and Video

Portsmouth Muay Thai may occasionally take photographs or videos for promotional purposes, including website and social media use.

If you do not wish to appear in photographs or videos, please inform a member of staff in writing.

 

Website Use

By using our website, you agree not to:

  • Use the website for unlawful purposes

  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to website systems

  • Copy or reproduce website content without permission

All website content remains the property of Portsmouth Muay Thai.

 

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Portsmouth Muay Thai shall not be liable for:

  • Injuries sustained during training where reasonable care has been taken

  • Loss or damage to personal property

  • Indirect or consequential losses

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

 

Changes to Classes and Services

Portsmouth Muay Thai reserves the right to:

  • Modify class schedules

  • Change coaches or instructors

  • Adjust membership pricing

  • Close temporarily for maintenance, holidays, or events

Where possible, reasonable notice will be provided.

 

Data Protection

Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

 

Children and Minors

Members under the age of 18 must have parental or guardian consent to participate.

Parents or guardians accept these Terms and Conditions on behalf of the minor.

 

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
