​Portsmouth Muay Thai is committed to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in all areas of our gym. We aim to provide a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment where everyone is treated fairly and has the opportunity to participate and develop regardless of their background.

  • Treating all members, coaches, staff, and visitors with dignity and respect

  • Providing equal opportunities to participate in Muay Thai training

  • Creating an inclusive environment free from discrimination, harassment, or victimisation

  • Promoting fairness and respect within the gym

  • Challenging discrimination and inappropriate behaviour

We believe diversity strengthens our gym and community.

 

Scope

This policy applies to:

  • Members

  • Coaches

  • Staff

  • Volunteers

  • Visitors

It applies to all activities conducted by Portsmouth Muay Thai Ltd.

 

Protected Characteristics

We do not tolerate discrimination based on any protected characteristic under the Equality Act 2010, including:

  • Age

  • Disability

  • Gender reassignment

  • Race

  • Religion or belief

  • Sex

  • Sexual orientation

  • Pregnancy or maternity

  • Marriage or civil partnership

Inclusive Training Environment

We aim to ensure:

Behaviour Standards

All members, staff, and visitors must:

  • Treat others with respect

  • Avoid discriminatory language or behaviour

  • Support an inclusive training environment

Discrimination, harassment, bullying, or victimisation will not be tolerated.

 

Reporting Concerns

Any member who experiences or witnesses discrimination or inappropriate behaviour should report it to a coach or staff member.

All concerns will be taken seriously and handled appropriately.

 

Enforcement

Portsmouth Muay Thai Ltd reserves the right to take appropriate action where this policy is breached. This may include:

  • Warnings

  • Suspension

  • Termination of membership

This is to protect the safety and wellbeing of all members.

 

Policy Review

This policy will be reviewed periodically and updated where necessary.
